Shanghai Diamond League

Abby Caldwell set the second all-time record in the 1,500 metres 3:56.12 At the Diamond League in Shanghai, leading a total of 5 Australians under the 4-minute mark.

Faith Kipyegon won the 5,000 meters in 14:24.14 minutes, Rose Davies in 14:53.28 minutes, and Maudie Skyring in 15:10.82 minutes.

In the men’s 3,000 metres, Seth O’Donnell finished second in the outdoor time trial. 7:29.49where German Muhammad Abdullah set a national record of 7:25.77.

Luke Boyes led most of the 800m race to finish fourth in 1:44.16, just shy of winner Mark English.

Sandringham won the Jells Park XCR Relays Men’s Premier League, beating Western Athletics and Bendigo. Andy Buchanan clocked the fastest 6.2km of the day 17:16. Sandringham also won the Women’s Premier Division ahead of Box Hill and Western Athletics, with Glenhuntley’s Madison King recording the fastest leg of the 20:43.

Great Ocean Road Running Festival

Dion Finocchiaro won the 44km Great Ocean Road Marathon 2:32:44With Toby Menday in second and Bradon Sutter in third. Maryam Al-Dawi set a record in the course 2:57:10 Before Lauren Marino and Haruki Ogasawara.

Ben Chamberlain won the 23km half marathon 1:13:04 Before Forrest Robinson and Ben Stevens. Frances Arnott won 1:26:44 Before Amanda Wilson and Jemima Wilson.

Andre Waring added another victory in the 14 km race 41:44While Simon McInnes won 47:33.
