Dementia – the secret ingredient to recovery

Natural Health 365 Podcast(Natural Health365As you know, every 3 seconds someone is diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease or dementia? In fact, as I’ve said many times before, Alzheimer’s disease is the sixth leading cause of death, killing more people than breast and prostate cancer combined, and Western medicine fails to provide a solution to it..

I know all too well what dementia does to someone – because my father is going through it – as we speak. You’re slowly seeing the person you used to know fade away, which is why I felt so compelled to create the Alzheimer’s and Dementia Summit – which can be found at: Alzheimer’s Dementia Summit.com

You can beat dementia—despite what your traditionally trained doctor may tell you

Before launching the Alzheimer’s and Dementia Summit – last summer – I asked my dear friend Linda Kordic to fly to New York and make a very special video for all the summit participants – talking about her own experience with dementia as it relates to her husband. Since then, so much has changed that I asked Linda to join me today to see what’s happening now.

About Linda Kordic

Linda Kordich grew up in a vegetarian family dating back to 1965. Becoming a vegetarian at the age of 12 set her apart from most people of those times. In her late teens, she developed a life-threatening illness now known as anorexia/bulimia, but learned by studying and observing the natural healing qualities of fresh vegetable juices and live foods, she recovered after 9 years of suffering.

Linda has now been in recovery for over 30 years, and attests that living foods and virtuous living are a large part of her complete recovery.

In 1973 she became an undergraduate student in primary education, specializing in understanding the psychological and emotional challenges of children. When she turned 25, she married Jay and began teaching weekly vegan food classes for many years with Jay, along with fresh vegetable juicing classes starting in 1981. In 1992, she helped Jay co-write The Power of Juicing, which became a New York Times bestseller with over 2 million books sold to date.

In 2012, Linda and Jay created the online SCHOOL OF JUICING program to help educate others to understand that learning how to successfully juice and eat a live foods-based diet takes effort, education, and focus. Their Juice School program has embraced thousands of people from all over the world.

Drawing on more than 30 years of experience in the natural foods industry, in 2006 Linda helped write and produce her hit multimedia program Live Foods, Live Bodies. Now she helps teach, inspire and motivate people to eat more live foods and drink fresh organic juices. Linda is now 61 years old, in good health, and living happily with her husband, Jay Kordich, and their two children, John and Jason.

Linda’s mission statement:

“To share everything I’ve learned in the past three decades….to help uplift, inspire, guide and motivate….to those living in darkness. Whether it’s to guide or inspire others towards living foods, juicing, hope or faith, that’s my passion!”
