(Natural Health365) What do genetically modified foods or GMOs do to our health? Will this “new” way of growing food – developed by the biotech industry – deliver on the promise of feeding the world and reducing our dependence on toxic agricultural chemicals? Or does this new technology pose a serious threat to our digestive system, immune function, and environment?
No doubt, The future of our food supply is at stake GMOs are one of the most controversial health topics of our time. Today, on the NaturalHealth365 Podcast, we’ll look at this topic with a man on a mission to educate the world about how the quality of our food is changing—at an alarming rate. GMO technology is at the heart of all this change.
We will also provide you with Instant free access to this amazing 9-day documentary series This reveals what’s really going on with our food supply – on a global scale – and exactly what you need to know to avoid poisoning and illness.

In the United States, three major commodity crops are grown predominantly from GM seeds: field corn (92%*), soybeans (94%*), and cotton (94%*).
Did you know that approximately 98% of canola grown in Canada is genetically engineered for herbicide resistance? It is estimated that sugar beet production grown in the United States is over 95% genetically modified for herbicide resistance. Additionally, as you know, genetically modified sweet corn, papaya, zucchini, and yellow summer squash are sold in grocery stores, but in smaller quantities.
In addition, genetically modified alfalfa, which is often overlooked, is grown for use as hay and feed for farm-raised animals. This is a huge source of GMOs in the diet – if a person is not careful with their food choices.
A relatively “new” development: “White Russet” brand potatoes, genetically engineered to resist bruising, were introduced to some grocery stores in 2015, and genetically engineered, non-browning “Arctic” apples have been deregulated by the USDA — and have been making their way onto the market since 2016.
Other sources of GMOs include:
Some food ingredients that may be GMO: Vegetable oils, vegetable fats, and margarine (made from soy, corn, cottonseed, and/or canola)
Soybean-derived ingredients: soy flour, soy protein, soy isolates, soy isoflavones, soy lecithin, vegetable proteins, vegetable protein (TVP), tofu, tamari, tempeh, and soy protein supplements.
Corn-derived ingredients: corn flour, corn gluten, corn masa, cornstarch, corn syrup, corn flour, and high fructose corn syrup (HFCS).
There is also a long list of other foods that could easily contain “hidden” sources of GMOs – which is why we encourage all NaturalHealth365 readers to educate themselves on this important topic.
