I’ve been researching and using tallow more in recent years, and turns out many of you have too. for me Whipped tallow balm It’s a fan favorite because it feels so soft on the skin. One question that is often asked is how to add honey to a recipe. Honey tallow balm does just that.
I have also added other ingredients that are great for clearing the skin and reducing blemishes.
When it comes to skin care, I’ve found that sometimes the simplest ingredients are the most effective. Although there are countless products designed to target blemishes and support clearer skin, many of them can be harsh, drying, or full of ingredients that I’d rather not use. Traditional ingredients that have been used for generations are worth accessing.
Honey Tallow Balm Ingredients
Our Honey Tallow Balm combines several skin-loving ingredients in one simple formula. Nourishes Skin barrier While also supporting clearer skin. Instead of stripping the skin or trying to force it to comply, this balm focuses on giving the skin what it needs. Honey Tallow Balm not only moisturizes the skin, it gives the skin beneficial compounds so it can function as designed.
Grease
One of the star ingredients in this conditioner is Grass-fed beef tallow. Tallow has a unique fatty acid composition that is very similar to the natural oils found in our skin. This means that it penetrates directly into the skin and helps restore our natural moisture barrier.
Raw honey
Another favorite ingredient with a long history in natural skin care. Honey is rich in beneficial compounds that keep the skin looking healthy and smooth. It also acts as a humectant, attracting and retaining moisture. This is especially beneficial for skin that feels irritated, dry, or imbalanced. I also love raw honey for acne and blemishes because it is naturally antimicrobial.
beeswax
beeswax It helps thicken the conditioner and creates a breathable protective layer on the skin. Some creams use Vaseline as a coating to trap moisture. These do not nourish the skin and can be heavy or oily. Instead of completely sealing the skin, beeswax helps retain moisture while allowing the skin to breathe.
Taman oil
In my classic tallow conditioner recipe, I use olive oil as the carrier oil. It’s full of healthy fats and anti-inflammatory omega-3s. In this version though I chose tamanu oil.
Skin care experts note how tamanu helps support skin healing and restoration. It is often used in products to improve the appearance of damaged and damaged skin. Research shows that it can help reduce redness and inflammation while improving remaining marks Acne damage. It is one of my favorite oils to use for damaged or blemish-prone skin.
Essential oils
These are optional, but really useful for adding even more skin benefits. Plus it can add a nice scent. I love using tea tree essential oil for blemish or acne-prone skin. It is an effective yet gentle antifungal and is known for its skin cleansing properties.
Sweet or wild oranges are another favorite. It has a bright, refreshing scent and can also help improve the appearance of the skin. Lavender, geranium, frankincense, and cedarwood are also great skin-friendly options.
Benefits of honey tallow balm
Anything that can address multiple skin care issues at once is a win in my book. Instead of focusing solely on blemishes, this honey tallow balm supports overall skin health.
Many people unintentionally damage the skin barrier through over-cleansing, harsh treatments, or… Excessive exfoliation. When the skin barrier becomes compromised, it can sometimes lead to more irritation, dryness, and rashes. Ingredients such as tallow, honey and tamanu oil help nourish and support the skin while maintaining moisture balance.
This balm can help soothe redness, promote blemish healing, and keep skin soft and hydrated. Since it contains nutrient-rich fats, it is also beneficial for skin that feels rough, dry or irritated. Overall, honey tallow balm helps balance the skin.
How to use honey tallow balm
A little goes a long way with this conditioner. I like to apply a small amount to clean skin and rub a thin layer onto my face. If you use it as part of your skincare routine, do so after cleansing and toning. Your body heat softens the balm so it glides easily over the skin.
I use this on my face to moisturize other areas that need a little extra love. You can also use it as a spot treatment for blemishes and skin redness. If your skin gets greasy or looks greasy afterward, you’ve used too much!
